摘要

A means of quantifying accurately strand surface temperatures and heat transfer in all regions of the caster, including directly beneath sprays, rolls and unsprayed areas between spray and roll, has been developed. Temperature measurements from embedded thermocouples have been analyzed, using an inverse solidification model to give information on heat transfer to the rolls, sprays and surplus spray water.
