Diagnostic and therapeutic challenges

Case Report: We report the case of a 50-year-old man with previously known protanopia (diagnosed at the age of 18 years) who presented to the Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Szeged, Hungary, upon having developed achromatopsia of a sudden onset on the right eye.No glaucoma or optic nerve disease was reported in the history. Systemic diseases with possible eye complications (such as diabetes or hypertension) were not present. Four years earlier, the patient had been treated for chorioretinitis, but at that time, color vision was not affected.
