KUDOS

I would like to join my colleagues in echoing kudos to Larry Yannuzzi in this issue of RETINA. In the three decades that I have been working in New York, it has been a pleasure to have him as an outstanding colleague, as an advisor, and as a friend. Larry's seminal and substantial contributions to the field of retinal and macular disease have helped all of us to improve our day-to-day care of patients. His enthusiasm and passion for developing new ideas and for teaching has been contagious and stimulated not only your colleagues but also many residents, fellows, and visitors to add to knowledge. The proximity to Larry as a resource has always been a tremendous asset for me as well as all of the New York ophthalmic community. His influence has made us all better doctors and mentors for the next generation. I hope that Larry will continue to stimulate us and keep us excited about retinal disorders in the very special way that is his trademark.
