摘要

Oxide photocatalysts, (Ba2BiBiO6)-Bi-(V)-O-(III) and (Ba2SbBiO6)-Bi-(V)-O-(III) with the same monoclinic structure, were synthesized by a solid state reaction method. Their band gaps were determined by UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy to be about 2.2 and 1.7 eV, respectively. These photocatalysts showed photocatalytic H-2 evolution from an aqueous CH3OH solution under visible light irradiation. The rates of H-2 evolution are 0.49 and 0.67 mu mol/h for (Ba2BiBiO6)-Bi-(V)-O-(III) and (Ba2SbBiO6)-Bi-(V)-O-(III), respectively. They also showed activity for photocatalytic O-2 evolution from an aqueous AgNO3 solution under visible light irradiation and the rates of O-2 evolution were found to be 1.6 and 2.7 mu mol/h, respectively.
