摘要

Benzoxazine resins, prepared from phenols, amines and formaldehyde, have attracted much interest over the last 10 years or so as an alternative thermosetting resin system to the traditional epoxy and phenolic resins. The interest in benzoxazines has focused on high performance composites, printed circuit boards and brake adhesives. In the field of photopolymerisation, Yagci et al have used benzoxazines as a co-initiator in combination with thioxanthone photoinitiators. This paper describes the synthesis of a novel benzoxazine-based photoinitiator by the reaction of 4,4'-dihydroxybenzophenone, formaldehyde and N,N-diethylethylene diamine.
