Visible light photoinitiating systems for laserimaging using pyrromethene dyes

In recent years there has been increasing interest in the use of photopolymerisation in biomedical applications, and visible light is preferable for applications such as dental restorations and polymer scaffolds. In addition, the development of laser technologies for applications such as holography, colour printing and microencapsulation, makes visible light photoinitiator systems preferable; however, they are quite challenging to develop.
