Household waste is usually a local authority (LA) waste department's prime concern, particularly at their civic amenity (CA) sites. Many refuse point blank to accept trade waste at the sites and are increasingly putting prohibitive measures in place to stop abuse of them by businesses. So does that mean local authorities are leaving commercial waste for private contractors to deal with, or do they want to provide a waste service for local businesses?
