The Liberal Democrat Party Conference in Bournemouth agreed the following environmental policies based on its paper Our Natural Heritage: Policies on the Natural Environment:Waste hierarchy The policy includes strong support for the "waste hierarchy" as set out in the new Waste Framework Directive (reduction, reuse, recycling recovery, disposal). However, the Party goes beyond the Directive by its preference of segregated over commingled waste collections.
