Plan to increase uptake of AD formed

A draft plan aimed at increasing the use of anaerobic digestion in the UK and making it an established technology by 2020 has listed a number of recommendations that Government and operators should follow if this is to be achieved.Developing an Implementation Plan for Anaerobic Digestion, was developed by the AD Task Group - chaired by Steve Lee, chief executive of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management - and sets out a number of practical steps that need to be taken if AD is to grow. It examines economics and infrastructure, regulation, technology, demonstration and communication and measuring progress.
