Study of PANI-MeSA conducting polymer dispersed in UV-curing polyester acrylate on galvanised steel as corrosion protection coating

The idea of using conductive polymers, such as polyaniline or polypyrrole, as primers or a component of protective coatings has been studied extensively since the early 1980s. Although these polymers make promising candidates for protective coatings, the mechanism of action is still in some doubt. The actual reduction potentials of conducting polymers depends on the choice of dopant, the doping level and the electrolyte.
