Coating formulation for preparing a hydrophilic coating

Medical devices require coating with hydrophilic properties. The surface is required to be lubricious and attain low friction upon wetting prior to insertion of the device into a patient's body. It is also desirable to minimise the amount of material that can migrate from the coating as this migration may change the composition of the coating or the material that migrates may be harmful to the patient.
