Cabot doubles production of Inkjet colourants at Massachusetts plant

Cabot Corporation has completed a $10 million capacity expansion at its Haverhill, Massachusetts, inkjet facility, which doubles production of its CAB-O-JET small molecule colour and polymer-attached pigment dispersion lines. The inkjet business is benefiting from a technology shift in the commercial printing segment which increasingly wants "print on demand" capability. Publishing houses are shortening their print runs in response to increased use of eReaders and iPads.
