Radiation curable compositions

Curable compositions for plastic substrates are often limited in their ability to adhere, which results in the use of adhesion primers. The use of 'inert' resins has been of limited success, but is often accompanied by a loss of reactivity. To solve this limitation, and reduce the number of coatings required in applications such as printing, a composition has been developed comprising at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound (A) and at least one inert hydroxy-terminated polyester (B) prepared from a polyol component that comprises ethylene glycol; and from a polycarboxy component that comprises phthalic acid and/or phthalic anhydride.
