UV-curable nanocomposite barrier coatings with organically modified montmorillonite for flexible electronic devices

Many new electronics technologies are utilising flexible substrates to provide improved performance properties. However, these flexible electronic components need to be protected by a coating from gas and moisture diffusion. Polymer/clay nanocomposites, even with low clay loadings, provide excellent barrier protection as well as good mechanical and thermal properties.
