Commercially available UV curable inks show limited adhesion to flexible plastic substrates. It is well known that adhesion can be improved by incorporating inert resins, but this is often accompanied by a reduction in the rate of cure. This occasionally necessitates the use of a clear primer coat followed by inks that cure at the desired rate. A composition is described that contains at least one ethylenically unsubstituted compound (A) and at least two inert resins. The first inert resin (B) is different from the second (C). (B) is described as an inert polyester and inert resins (C) are selected from (poly) acrylic, polystyrene, polyurethane, polyethylvinyl, polyvinyl chloride, styrene allyl alcohol, chlorinated polyolefins, and/or ketone resins.
