Letter to the Editor-Stakes and Kidneys: Why Markets in Human Body Parts Are Morally Imperative. A Reply to Horrobin

Ihave recently read with great pleasure, interest, and profit Steven Horrobin's review of my book, Stakes and Kidneys: Why Markets in Human Body Parts Are Morally Imperative.1 Hor-robin does a wonderful job of insightfully identifying and exposing some of the weaknesses of that volume. However, although I agree with him that Stakes and Kidneys has the weaknesses that he notes I think that these can be corrected-and that, once this is done, I think it might well be the case that I will succeed in "justifying ... a market in human kidneys."
