摘要

In our paper,we concluded that"the lower crustal xenoliths entrained by Cenozoic basalts from the Nushan area(near the boundary between the North China and South China Blocks)...were either formed during Archean or Proterozoic times or require involvement of an old(possibly Archean)source component located in the lithospheric mantle and/or continental lower crust.The similarity between the crustal granulite-facies xenoliths from the Nushan area and those from the Hannuoba area in the north North China Block(NCB)and the close geochemical affinity of the host Cenozoic Nushan basalts with the other Cenozoic basalts from the NCB(Chung,1999),indicate that the lower crust and sub-lithospheric mantle beneath Nushan are part of the NCB terrane"(Yu et al.,2003).
