How to keep shoppers happy: Daikin's VRV system has found favour at a flagship John Lewis store

Breathe Air of Cambridge has installed a 15-unit Daikin VRV system in the new five-storey John Lewis Partnership store in the Cambridge Arcade retail development. The 144,000 sq ft store carries ￡12.5 million worth of stock, making it three times larger than its predecessor. Designed and specified by CSA Consulting Engineers London, the 15 VRV units were specified as a mix of heat recovery, heat pump and mini VRV-S types, according to the specific cooling and heating requirements of the various floors and areas. VRV capacities vary between 11.2 kW cooling/12.5 kW heating (mini VRV) and 22.5 kW cooling and 55 kW heating for the heat recovery and heat pump systems.
