Ammonia chillers first choice for yearsley: Yearsley Group has chosen York International to design, supply, and commission an ammonia refrigeration system

York International has won a ￡1.9 million contract to provide cooling for cold stores and chill areas at frozen food sales/ cold storage, and distribution company Yearsley Group's extended head office facility in Heywood and new depot in Seaham. Yearsley Group has recently undertaken several expansion and refurbishment projects. An additional cold storage and chilled unit was opened at the existing Heywood head office site in December 2003, ahead of schedule. The low temperature store, with an internal volume of 31,640 cu m, needed to be controlled at -29degC The 10,416 cu m chilled temperature store was to be controlled at 0/-2degC.
