Refractories Serving Low Carbon Economy (Part 2)

The 6~(th) International Symposium on Refractories jointly organized by the Chinese Ceramic Society and the Chinese Society for Metals in Oct. 2012 in Zhenzhou was headlined "Refractories Serving Low Carbon Economy". In Part 1 published in refractories WORLDFORUM 5 (2013) [2] 39-51 the plenary session and the seminar on " Refractories for Iron and Steel Industry" were reviewed. Part 2 reports on the following topics: 1. Refractories for cement, glass, ceramic and other industries 2. Refractories for insulating and new energy areas 3. Refractory raw materials, equipment, standardization, characterization and simulation 4. Fundamentals and education 5. Energy conservation, recycling and eco-friendly issues.
