摘要

Stem cuttings of Dalbergia sissoo (Roxb.) were tested for their rooting capacity in the mist chamber at Deptt of Forestry, CCS HAD, Hisar. The cuttings were prepared in three seasons Viz. Sprin g (March-April), Monsoon (July-Aug.) and Winter (Dec.-Jan.). The cuttings were treated with different concentrations (100, 500 and 1000 ppm) of auxins i.e. NAA and IBA. The Winter season cuttings did not show any rooting response. In Spring and Monsoon seasons the lower doses of auxins triggered the rooting of cuttings. The best treatment found was the 100 ppm of IBA in spring season.
