Petronas CEO says countdown begins for deployment of first FLNG hull off Sarawak

Petronas Chief Executive Wan Zulkiflee bin Wan Ariffin said the Malaysian energy company had begun the countdown for the world's first floating LNG production hull to be deployed over the Kanowit natural gas field, offshore Sarawak. The FLNG project is a landmark in the development of stranded gas reserves by means of floating production systems. It has, however, been a relatively quick transition by Petronas from planning to execution.
