摘要

Christie said, "And though natural gas is a critical piece of our state's energy strategy, I remain unconvinced of the need and efficacy of these facilities, or their ability to lower prices for consumers." Under the federal Deepwater Port Art, the governor of a coastal state has veto authority over planned LNG terminals. Former Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco was the first to exercise the veto power when she nixed plans for the Main Pass Energy Hub in May 2006.
