El Paso reports that the expansion of the Elba Island LNG terminal in Georgia has been completed and a new adjoining gas pipeline is now in service.

The Elba Island LNG terminal now has a send-out capacity of 1.75 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day, up from 1.2 Bcfd previously. El Paso also reported that the newly built Elba Express Pipeline, a 190-mile pipeline with a capacity to transport 945 million cubic feet per day, will transport additional gas from Elba Island to southeastern and eastern US markets.
