The CPUC said it is asking Southern California Gas (SoCalGas) if it has alternative storage sites and delivery system in the event the 3,600-acre storage site is shuttered at some point in the future. The executive director of the CPUC, Timothy Sullivan, has ordered SoCalGas to work with the necessary state agencies to develop alternatives to Aliso Canyon, which has a capacity to store 86.2 billion cubic feet of working gas.
