A decision by the US attorneys office to drop the potential fines Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) was facing in regard to a deadly September 2010 natural gas pipeline explosion and fire was ripped by a California state official Wednesday.

State Sen. Jerry Hill called the decision by federal prosecutors to drop the potential criminal fine against PG&E from $562 million to $6 million unbelievable.
