Chinese imports rebound

China's inexorable LPG demand growth led to imports reaching a record monthly high in March, official data show. The country imported 1.6mn t of LPG in March, easily breaking the previous monthly record of 1.3mn t, which was set in December last year (see graph, right). Deliveries stood at 3.6mn t in the first quarter, up by 62.6pc compared with a year earlier and exceeding total imports for all of 2010 and 2011 (see p7).
