CRU analysts recently travelled to China to attend United Laboratories’ (UL’s) first wire and cable conference and exhibition and also to visit a number of Chinese cable companies. At the UL conference Rob Daniels and Patrick Fay of CRU both gave presentations. In Rob Daniels’ presentation he focussed on the role the BRIC countries have had in driving global growth over the last decade, and showed that these four countries are at different stages of development, but that there is still potential for further growth, particularly in India.
