摘要

High strength atmospheric corrosion resisting steel plates with improved weldability, SMA570W-EX/-EG, have been developed for bridge use. Decrease in carbon content, microalloying addition and optimum control of microstructure have been employed to achieve high quality in both mechanical properties and weldability. Developed steel plates have the advantage of improvement in efficiency of fabrication by decreasing in preheating temperature and increasing in heat input of welding. It is expected that the developed steel plates contribute to enlargement in minimum-maintenance bridges. In this paper, concept of alloy design, properties of developed steels and some applications are briefly introduced.
