An image of a laser-irradiated object is reconstructed for the first time in a beam of stimulated Brillouin scattering in real time from the Fourier spectrum of the object. The Fourier spectrum was projected into a subsurface layer of an active medium, and a high-quality image was reconstructed independently of the purity of the active medium. [References: 5]
