The average monthly zinc price remained relatively steady in November, falling only 1% to US$2,253/t (US$1.02/lb) from the October average of US$2,277/t (US$1.03/lb). AME forecasts the zinc price to be US$2,250/t (US$1.02/lb) in the December Quarter of 2014 before rising to an average of US$2,400/t (US$1.09/lb) in 2015. LME stocks continued to fall throughout November, although at a slower rate than October, to finish 4% lower at 673kt. Similarly to October the majority of inventory outflow was from the New Orleans warehouse, which historically has not been a good indicator of downstream demand as gradual outflows are often rapidly replaced with large restocking movements.
