FE simulation of the selective laser sintering of metal powders

摘要

Selective Laser Sintering of mixed metal powders is an additive process. Due to the process, local heating causes thermally induced stresses. The resulting internal stress in the part leads to warpage and reduced strength. This article deals with the transient stress development knowledge of which is necessary for the process optimization.
