Symmetrical distribution of gypsum board layers and sound transmission losses

摘要

In this paper measured sound transmission loss data for gypsum board panels and lightweight double walls with gypsum board layers placed symmetrically and asymmetrically are presented. Data are used to show the effect of critical frequency on gypsum board panels mounted on point connections and to study the influence on sound transmission loss of placing gypsum board layers symmetrically and asymmetrically.
