摘要

A novel alumina-activated carbon composite (AAC) was studied as the support of NiMo catalyst for hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of dibenzothiophene (DBT) and characterized by BET, XRD and TPR techniques. The AAC exhibited a mesoporous feature while Al2O3 and activated carbon (AC) supports indicated a microporous character. The AAC supported NiMo catalyst showed higher activity and better stability than those supported on individual Al2O3 and AC for HDS of DBT. The outstanding catalytic activity and stability observed on NiMo/AAC are attributed to the mesoporous structure of the AAC support and high dispersion of Ni and Mo species on the AAC.
