摘要

Spin out company MGB Bio-Pharma has been created by the University of Strathdyde to commercialise antibacterial technology and has received almost ￡2 million in funding. The antibacterial technology has demonstrated very significant in vitro and in vivo activity against Gram positive bacteria including MRS A and some Gram negative bacterial. It also involves a new class of DNA minor groove binders (MGBs).
