An array of health care organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA), the Medical Group Management Association, and the Medical Imaging Technology Alliance, have come out in opposition to a proposal by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to further reduce payment for certain imaging procedures administered to the same patient, on the same day, in the same setting.
