Since the introduction of mechanical refrigeration in the 1920s,there has been an increasing demand for industrial,commercial and domesrtic refrigeration and with it the increaasing popularisation of halocarbon refrigerants.The demand has been driven by their thermodynamic properties which when combined with their chemical stability make them great refrigerant fluids.
