New water-soluble cutting fluids additives from phosphonic acids for aluminium materials

Water-soluble cutting fluids are used for processing of aluminium and iron materials.This short article describes properties of new additives of water-soluble cutting fluids for aluminium materials.Some alkylphosphonic acids were prepared from the thermal reaction of alkylbromide and triethylphosphite,followed by hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid.Amine salts of octylphosphonic acid and decylphosphonic acid showed excellent anti-corrosion property against aluminium materials.Amine salts of octyl-1,8-diphosphonic acid and monooctyl ester of octylphosphonic acid had a fairly good anti-corrosion property for aluminium,too.
