Out is in. There's no other way to describe the huge interest in creating and enjoying an outdoor area that has more in common with a living room than a garden. A decade ago the term indoor/ outdoor flow was all the rage; now it's not even a buzzword.The assumption is that you have already opened up your home and fully colonised the outside, making your garden an integral part of the entertaining and leisure areas. New Zealanders have traditionally been fond of relaxing outdoors and that won't be changing any time soon, particularly if overseas trends are any guide.
