Night-time visitors to Justine and Jonathan Hawks worth's Mt Eden home are welcomed by a glowing glass box that juts from its dark cedar cladding. It's the first outward sign of the collaboration between Jonathan, an architect, and Justine, an artist.The glass stairwell is Jonathan's favourite feature and it's etched with Justine's art (see it on page 38 and 41)."Jonathan came home one evening and said, 'I need an image tonight'," says Justine - the glass panels were about to be manufactured. "So I had to design something on the spot. It was a bit stressful when I had to commit pen to paper. I had a real phew' moment when they went in and looked good."
