Classical novae (CNe) are believe to be the source Or the ISM enrichment with the isotopes of C-13, N-15, Na-22 and Al-26 In the gamma-ray band the Galaxy is almost transparent, so that, otherwise obscured bulge CNe may be detectable up to A(nu)similar to10(3) by observation of the extended 1.275 MeV line emission from the accumulated Na-22. Indeed, COMPTEL telescope on board the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory (CGRO) has detected this extended gamma-ray line emission from the bulge population of classical novae. We discuss implications of this result for the theory of classical nova. [References: 19]
