Anisa Gress visits Woodcote Green Nurseries in Surrey to catch up with Jon Hoare, the current N&GC Young Retailer of the Year. When the judges of the N&GC Awards looked at the competition entry from Jon Hoare, they were suspicious -- it all looked too good to be true. Becoming marketing manager of a pound 4 million plus turnover centre at the age of 21 seemed unbelievable. But for all those Doubting Thomases out there project managing a Gold medal winning garden at Hampton Court, constructing the centre's website and developing and maintaining the 4000 member Privileged Customers Club are just three examples of successful projects which proves that Jon's age belies his maturity.
