摘要

Carbon fibersare commonly used in aerospace and automobile industry because of their high strength, high modulus, low density and attractive prise. Due to some chemical modification of carbon fibers, they can be applied as components of composites in various high-tech materials, e.g., as reinforcement of concrete [1-3]. The range of features of carbon fibers with a high structural ordering can be extended by intercalation. It is proved that this reaction lowers the mechanical properties of carbon fibers, but on the other hand, increases their electrical conductivity, e.g., as a result of intercalation of MnCl_2 into carbon fibers [4].
