Overview of potato cultivation machinery: tables of types for row tillage and hilling devices.

摘要

An overview of potato cultivation machinery with detailed type tables is given. Tabulated information (specifications, weight, price in Euro) is given for a total of 78 machines made in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Poland. Colour pictures show specific features of the machines and field usage. All different cultivations like bed forming, ridging and mechanical weed control techniques in potato production are considered. Many machines work on 4 rows with a standard row width used in Germany of 0.75 cm. However, there are also machines for 6 and 8 rows and a few for only 2 rows.
