Healing herbs: Use the power of herbs to heal the garden

Many of the problems that commonly afflict gardens have their own herbal remedies. It may be as simple as planting the right herb in the tight place, or crushing that herb and spraying with it. This month we look at improving the health of the gardenusing the healing powers of herbs. Herbs themselves are often quite free of pests and diseases. Most have not had a history of plant breeding and selection for their culinary uses and thus have retained their natural pest-resistance. Many are also aromatic and this deters insect pests from sucking or biting them.
