When the farmers' market started up in Lyttleton in 2005, Amy and David Caddie, who had been growing veges and plants commercially for years, decided to take a new tack. "We started doing pots of living salad greens, vegetables and herbs, thinking people would find them useful," Amy explains. "People with small gardens can have a pot of coriander or mesclun on their step qr balcony to harvest as they need it."
