A field experiment was conducted during 2001 and 2002 at AAI Deemed University Allahabad to study the effect of inorganic fertilizers on the growth, and yield of Black gram (Vigna mungo). The experiment during both the years consisted of 10 treatments. Incorporation of fertilizers with manure increased grain yield of Black gram. The higher grain yield of Black gram (9.06q/ha) was recorded in the treatment that received N 5kg, P_2O_5 15 kg and K_2O_5 kg per hectare along with poultry manure treated plot (T_(10)). However, it was at par with the yield obtained in treatment fertilized with 100% RDF (T_1).
