Potassium Sulphate: Foliar Application now developing on beoad-acre crops

Dr. Nicholas White, Marketing Director of Fertilizers at Tessenderlo Group (Belgium), explained during his lecture in Rio that the benefits of potassium sulphate (SOP) enhancing yield and quality of crops are well documented. And although SOP is widely used in vegetables and tobacco, it is not yet a common input in broad-acre crops, except in regions with high salinity. In view of the many conclusive trials conducted with SOP globally, the situation may change, especially in Latin America. TESSENDERLO has conducted trials in many crops and countries for several years, which have shown that foliar fertilization with SOP, applied as a supplement to soil applications help to enhance yield and quality in many broad-acre crops.
