Foliar applications of Potassium Nitrate based products: Promising results on cotton, soybeans and rice

Harmen Tjalling Holwerda, Global Market and Product Development Director for Specialty Plant Nutrition of SQM, talked in Rio about the benefits of their potassium nitrate based products Ultrasol NKS and Speedfol Crop SP when foliar applied on cotton,soybeans and rice. These products provide an option to apply nitrogen, potassium and micronutrients when root uptake is not optimum.ULTRASOL NKS (in Brazil it is called Dripsol NKS) is a modified potassium nitrate. On the other hand, Speedfol Crop SP is a crop specific solution range of products designed for foliar applications, which consist of high K formulations derived from potassium nitrate. It is a pH optimised product, enriched with micronutrients. Both products are designed to bypass and overcome rooting zone-related plant K and micronutrients uptake limitations.
