Genetic Diseases of the Eye

Genetic Diseases of the Eye is Volume 61 of the Oxford Monographs on Medical Genetics. The first edition of this text was Volume 36 and was published in 1999. Elias I Traboulsi from the Center for Genetic Eye Diseases, Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, edited both the present and previous edition. Since 1992, Dr. Traboulsi has been Editor-in-Chief of Ophthalmic Genetics, which along with Neuro-Ophthalmology, is published by Informa healthcare. Genetic Diseases of the Eye is composed of 52 chapters divided into seven sections: (1) malformations, (2) refractive errors, cornea, glaucoma, and cataracts, (3) retina and optic nerve, (4) eye movement disorders, (5) systemic disease and the eye, (6) cancer genetics and the eye, and (7) treatment. The chapter authors are international in scope and come from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, Portugal, The Netherlands, Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
